Think a lot of fans who worked hard to get rid of Bratt and co have had enough of protesting after all the abuse we got. There are a lot of fans at this club who just leave it to others or bury their heads in the sand. It's about time we all rallied together every one who is a vale fan show Smurf that we have had enough The alternative is not worth thinking about oblivion and no vale

This is not meant as a criticism of him, but talk on here is like he is a God and a Vale “legend”

 

He played a mere 50 odd games for us. We hold no more attraction to him than Rochdale for example.

We need someone in the Micky Adams mould who had no prior association with the club and is experienced at this level and league one, none of this cheapest option rubbish. Smurf had his hands tied with Adams as he was on a proper wage when Smurf/Wildes took over, however, we’ve now gone with the cheapest option 4 times since Adams none of which have worked! It time to pay a proper wage for a decent league experienced manager and have a smaller better quality squad to keep within the budget.

You know what some fans deserve what they get.. They always chuck the blame at the manager, where the cancer of the club is Smurf. Yes we are **** and i hate sitting through this **** every week, but if that **** hadnt been such a **** over the Rob Page fiasco, then we could attract better managers..FACT.

Just when things couldn’t get worse !

 

When people realise the real problem ?

 

Recent managers have hardly covered themselves in glory that is obvious.

 

But for God’s sake how can we even stabilise, let alone progress, with Smurfthwaite in charge.

 

I really am reaching the end of my tether with the Blue One. Granted, he does not pick the team. But how can any manager “succeed” when all he is allowed to sign is non league players ?

 

It’s similar to when the F1 world champion Damon Hill’s next season was driving for Arrows. What chance do they have ?

 

Smurfthwaite will be the death knell for our beloved club. Ferguson or Guardiola could not succeed here.

 

Whilst that twot is in charge, it is only a matter of time before we are non league, or even out of existance.

 

Criticise Aspin as much as you want, but in reality there is only one “man” to blame.

I stand to be corrected Howjy, but I don’t recall fans demanding Aspin’s appointment. I was not disappointed with his installment, but I don’t remember his name being top of fans’ list.

 

But as I continually say no one, but no one, can succeed at even this pitifully low level while Smurfthwaite remains the owner.

 

I, like many on this forum, have gone through those shocking times in the 60’s when we were expelled from the league, but there was always hope.

 

That hope has long since steamed through Longport Station.

 

We’ve had some colourful owners in our recent past. Arthur McPherson received a suspended prison sentence for handling stolen goods for example. Bell was, well Bell. The announced gate against Arsenal will go down in history.

 

But this fat faced, blue fiend, really takes some beating.

 

If he & Wildes were the best Bob Young could come up with ( bearing in mind he also put forward V2001) it makes you wonder what the legal profession had to offer.

 

I really am at a loss as to where we go from here. These twuts don’t realise what Vale means to ALL of us.

It wasn’t what I or indeed a lot of fans I attend the games with wanted prior to Aspin, Brown, Ribeiro or Page being appointed. We’ve always said we need a experienced manager instead of the cheapest option and that hasn’t changed, the only difference is we’ve been proven right yet again!
