I think him potentially going is the least of our worries. Especially when you look at our options in midifled, wings and up front. In fact I don't get the hysteria of when any loan player is going, they aren't our players anyway and the reality is they want to play higher than us anyway.

Its an odd situation IMO born out of a cautious manager. I think whilst he's here we should be playing both him and Gibbo, even though I found it a bit baffling as to why we would want to develop someone elses player who won't be here for the future when we have our own saleable asset, whos a good prospect and done little wrong (IMO). But equally whats the point of playing Rawlinson there who has no future as a full back? I would say Vassell is much the same too. Both centre halves by trade and to a degree being hung out to dry out of positon.

He may well be a good prospect, but at what level? I can't see Dean Smith recalling him to be part of his matchday squad, as I don't believe he is anywhere near that good/ready at the moment - and he may never attain Championship standard. However, recalling him to get a better look at him in training/in u23 games, or to loan him to a better club (sadly there are many) I could understand.

Totally agree that hes been the one loan signing thats worked in the main. He's been steady but without looking like he's pulling up trees. Yes he's made some costly errors and had some bad games, but when compared to the other loans we've got in this season they've hardly managed to make an appearance. Overall I'd say we've found that using young players in the loan market is very much hit and miss (mostly miss). But I think we've already got a perfectly good right back in the club, who is good enough to be starting games anyway, which is why I don' think Clark going is that big a loss. My frustration is that Aspin has been too cautious and not used both Clark and Gibbons together when he could. As a result I'd say our link up play down the wings this season has been worse than last season.

If anything I'd say defensively we need a naturally left sided player to give us some balance at left back. Other than that midfield, wings and forward have to be a priority because I think Manny, Hannant, Conlon, Monty are too inconsistent. Throw in the absence of Worrall, the ostracising of Whitfield and all the loans that aren't playing then its clear we need more in those areas.
