Considering we played their u21/23 got me thinking how many young uns did we have on the pitch..gibbons,smith,conlon,vassell,kanu

 

shows the difference between playing league football and not, the best route for these youngsters isn't in a competition like this but to start lower in the leagues and earn the place higher up if they are good enough they will find their way through.

Very true. Just shows imo that academies are dead, unless maybe you’re a top 6 team that can poach the very best.

 

How much has Stokes academy cost over the last 10 years and how many first teamers has it produced? Tom Edwards. Can’t think of another. Could have bought a player like him for 1m or 2.
