Ben Purkiss in the news

Good for Ben. Gordon Taylor has been in post for 37 years. It is beyond doubt that he is extremely well paid and holds power that is disproportionate to his office. He seems content to spend lots of money for QCs to get rid of Ben Purkiss, who was elected by his members. Ben is the Chair and in that respect is probably Gordon Taylor's boss. What Ben is asking for is perfectly reasonable and he is representing the interests of his members. A number of footballers fall on hard times when they retire and it is the duty of the PFA to support them from the vast sums of money they have.

It is time Gordon Taylor moved on. Perhaps he is planning to beat Enver Hoxha's record as Europe's longest serving dictator. It is interesting that it is only now, when Ben is challenging Gordon Taylor's powerbase that Mr Taylor has been hit with the thought that Ben is ineligible for office. That thought did not occur to Mr Taylor until now, one is left to draw their own conclusions as to why Mr Taylor has decided to take action at this particular moment.

Perhaps when he retires all the league clubs should show their appreciation with a whip around, probably make our owner go light headed especially if its the sum of the much undeserved £2.50 per club (-:

The FA are an establishment so any common sense Ben tries to instigate will get rebuked at all attempts, the parasites wont want to give any money or control in any shape or form unless its suits there needs not footballs
