Ultimately Sunderland are riddled with quality, have a budget many times ours and we had no right to beat them yesterday or even compete. The fact that we did compete is testament to the lads, this wasn't a defeat to Grimsby or Morecambe this is one of the biggest clubs in the land. Not sure why anyone would slate us for losing that.

Not sure I agree, once Aspin made the change we played very well against a team miles above us. Best I have felt after a defeat for a long while

Think you might find I posted that before the game.They did aquit themselves well against a Championship side( I know they’re Lg1)

So optimism is out of the box foe me as well. It was a good markerfor Vales ability

Ask me after the Oldham game late December... its a good run of fixtures until the end of 2018 so depends how well we do against the weaker sides in this run for me. I would take 10th-12th as a good base.
