Fabulous match play and viewing course, the atmosphere was again incredible.

The Americans in Paris just didn't turn up this afternoon, still a long way to go.

Rory's a bit of a worry, one of Europe's key players but struggled in the Four balls and didn't play particularly well in the Foursomes, Europe need him to play well.

Hope RS don't mention the score on the Vale broadcast tomorrow as I will DVR the golf and watch it later, if they do I hope they give a warning and I can turn the sound down!!!!!!

Everything about the Ryder Cup 2018 was phenomenal, the performance by both teams and the general sportsmanship, the course and the spectators were all top draw.

Golf is going through tricky times at the moment in that less people are playing the game these days, can't imagine a better advert to get people to take up playing the game as it's a fantastic sport, a great way to spend your time and meet people. I wish I could have taken up this sport when I was 5 years old instead of 35.

It seems to be said after every European Ryder Cup victory that they win because of their “togetherness” as a “team”. But what could be a more divided continent than Europe ?

We speak God only knows how many different languages, everyone seems to hate each other, we want to close borders to foreigners and even argue over the shape of banana’s for goodness sake ! Yet come the Ryder Cup we all come together.

Meanwhile, the Americans are all the same nationality but seem to continually want to fall out with each other ! Patrick Reed’s outburst being the latest in a long line of ill feeling between their participants.

Why is this ?

Perhaps some of our U.S. based contributors may be better informed.

I read a comment from Colin Mongomerie about the difference between the European and US tours. He said in Europe during competition players still socialise together and stay in the same hotels. In the US, he said during a tournament you could walk down a hotel corridor and all you would see was room service trays outside the doors.
