It appears Kanu had a hand in both goals but, as last season, good performances in the reserves don't necessarily equate to the same in the first team, otherwise Forrester would have contributed a lot more. It might be worth giving him a run out though to see how he fares.

Not sure if they played a few first teamers due to their terrible form in the hope they played well and gained confidence.

If they didn't then we have clearly dodged a bullet with Oswell if all he can muster is Morecambe reserves.

To be fair, Oswell has played a part in almost all their games this season. Starting some, as a sub in some, but he has been involved. But as we know all to well, it's not easy being a striker in a s... team! And boy, does Morecambe seem s... this season!

I always get the impression that Mick Edes and his team are spot on, which bodes well for the future of the academy. Let's hope they can move a few more through to the first team, as long as they're not being poached by Man City!

Vale fans do seem to turn on certain players very quickly, Quigley seems one of those. He's quite raw and inexperienced but I think there's something there.
