At 37.5% that would be 52 points plus whatever we get from draws- likely 60+ point return. Mid table respectability and not a million miles from the playoffs, where typically early 70’s in terms of points gets you in.

But better than our greatest ever manager who had a 37.12% win ratio.

Monty is a very talented player. Big lad with lots of skill Howjy. I like the lad.

He hasn't been good this season though and when put under pressure it becomes instantly obvious he's not a left back. He was awful at Colchester for example.

Having said that, it's terrible to watch centre backs playing full back and not being comfortable bringing the ball out and putting a cross in.

Thank goodness for Mitch Clark. I think we need to work on Gibbons to get him back in the side. Maybe he's a bit naive and not quite good enough to compensate for lack of experience. Let's get him on loan then to make sure he's playing competitive football. He has the potential.

P.S. Can this thread be re-named or swallowed up in to another thread? Really shows the basic fickleness of football fans and doesn't speak for us all. Aspin In!

Speaking for myself, I've never once said Aspin had lost the dressing room. I'm not a fan of his obviously, but that's more because of his often silly team selections and the fact that I believe he often concentrates far too much on trying to nullify the opposition instead of taking the game to them.

However, football fans including myself can be extremely fickle. If we beat Crewe next week and it's not extremely lucky then I'd let my Misses give him a bit of a reach around, and if she wouldn't I would.

Montano is a confidence player. In a team that's doing well and actually taking games to the opposition he would be one of the best players in the league.

Yes, and the great John Rudge was only at 37% but great nonetheless

Stats do not reflect reality. Rudgie spent a lot of time at Tier 2. The most astonishing stat i have seen recently is Peter Beadle's at Hereford, another ex Vale player. He has just been sacked after winning three consecutive championships with a stat win rate of 78%. Utter muppetry. Let's change the title of this thread to Aspin In
