Fradley Steps Down - Norman Back As Chairman

PV1973

Recommended Posts

I was in the club shop a couple of weeks ago and Norman came in asking the staff about a scissor lift parked outside. Didn’t hear the whole conversation but it struck me at the time that it seemed to be something relatively minor that he was getting involved in at the club.

If anyone believes that he is not/has not been involved in the day to day running of the club they are seriously mistaken. It’s his money at stake, he is in control, always has been.

I don't mind the day to day running of the admin of the club, as long as he leaves the football to the experts.

Seeing as we run at a profit, everything above the bare minimum maintenance and the meagre budget goes straight into Mr Smurthwaites pocket.

Fradley's money, OVF's money. All commercial income for many years. Straight into Mr Smurthwaite's pocket. And this is the bloke who borrowed the money off himself by a round about route, for the club to pay back in directors' loans the money he payed to buy the club! Hat's of to Mr Smurthwaite.

He certainly knows how to con people.... Which he has done with several on here big style.

Smurthwaite has barely put a penny into Vale. Including actually buying it. He's a **** for sure, but he's an in someways clever ****.

In that he has duped thick people who can't follow what he is up to into somehow thinking that he is Kosha.

Smurthawaite has taken money out of the club and never paid real money into. In short.

And we are grubbing around in the basement of the league football.

The tenure of this person is a disaster however you look at it.

I think we all know what Smurfthwaite is. I don’t think you have to be Albert Einstein to figure that out.

But please do not put Fradley into the same category. He is Vale through and through. In his various sponsorship deals he puts money into Vale because he loves the club.

This shows The Blue One up for what he is. Taking 6 figure money off nothing more than a fan.

Shame on you Smurfthwaite. To you this is a bit of fun, especially the bits where you take the p**s out of us lifelong fans.

To us, this is a way of life, not some ill conceived plan to fleece yet another unsuspecting soul.

I’d bang my head against the main entrance wall, but Smurfthwaite would probably sue me for the damage which wasn’t caused.

Tony Fradley has stepped down as chairman of Port Vale as owner Norman Smurthwaite returns to the role.

Was this only a short term / temporary appointment?

Did he jump or was he pushed?

I suspect, although I don’t know, that the money Fradley “paid” to be chairman was for the 12 month period.

That 12 months is now up and The Blue One wanted paying again for the privilege.

I certainly don’t know this to be true, but it would seem a fair assumption.

I’m not a Smurthwaite fan but a scissor lift would be used for stadium maintenance surely, something which, according to his statement, he will be involved in.

If its been standing there for a few days hasn't moved / been used. Then he could be thinking Is money being wasted while paying for it just to stand there.
