Chris Turner loses his job

Raj Atwal, Chris Turner, the girl who was in the role last summer, I'm sure there was at least another person in that role........it would be interesting to say the least to get the thoughts of those people as to what the problems at the club are.

That's a good idea.Maybe an OVF rep could contact those named for their side of the story. As OVF is independent this could become a regular thing and give truth starved Vale supporters a more honest and unbiased insight into how our club is being run.

How can a sacked employee's 'side of the story' be considered 'more honest and unbiased'?

Who's been sacked?

I spoke to two of the previous post-holders who both said the same - outdated working practices at he club are the norm, there are several staff who hold the club back with their attitudes and there is/was no support from NS.

I'd trust both people over that character who is currently chairman.

exactly how many people are going to say they weren't very good at or committed to a job? In todays world no one is ever responsible for their own destiny its always someone elses fault.

Personally having met Chris twice at the club recently he was easy to get on with, driven and busy. I will admit the offices we went into looked like a time warp to the 80s, very drab, white boards and faded paint everywhere and very dull. Hardly a motivational environment to say the least. I can imagine his job isnt/wasnt easy and there's no way id consider working in that environment or with the track record with staff leaving. Something isn't right either the salary, working environment or expectations, maybe its all three.

Id say on a personal note a sales/marketing director on the board who be useful as our current board doesnt have a specialist in that field which in todays world is naive at best

I would imagine its a tough job guessing it comes with little support or working framework to be able to negotiate and get deals over the line as probably any anomalies would probably have to be signed off from above also the first thing would be to get money in to cover his cost to the club then to exceed this with more sales..same for marketing side

Maybe wrong though

Pity the ticket office aren’t on the same contract they’d all be gone by now.
