I can't see beyond City again.

Mahrez will be great off the bench.

If they can keep Kompany fit and the likes of Jesus and Sterling continue to improve, it's hard to see anyone stopping them again.

Their movement and pace are unbelievable.

Should be fascinating to see if Jose can improve United and if Chelsea and Arsenal cope with a different manager.

Great signing for Liverpool in Xherdan Shaqiri, and an absolute steal for 13 million in today's market for a player yet to reach his peak. He'll only be a squad player but on his day he's a match winner and a brilliant option to have on the bench.

Fekir and a top goalkeeper and Liverpool will be challenging next season.

I really hope that after the exploits of the England team in the World Cup, more Prem teams are willing to take a chance on young English players.

I really like Leicester's signing of James Maddison - he's a real talent and will be good to see how he gets on in the Prem.

I'd like to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek sign permanently somewhere where he can play week in week out too.

With the Mahrez signing it doesn't look like young Phil Foden will get much opportunity at Citeh this season or even next, he may not be physically ready yet but promising young English players have to get a regular start at some time.

So Liverpool are set to sign the top goalkeeper they have desperately needed. I still think Karius can and will become a very good keeper in time, but right now he's just too inconsistent. It may be worth loaning him out somewhere where he's less in the spotlight and will every game. Mingolet is more than good enough as a number 2.

Alisson

Alexander-Arnold

Lovren

Van Dijk

Robertson

Fabinho

Keita

Oxlade-Chamberlain

Mane

Salah

Firmino

That looks a very strong possible 11, although Henderson will start. Sign Fekir or someone of similar quality and Liverpool will be genuine challengers with a bit of luck, no matter what Howjy insists. I suppose he's over the moon with their signings of Dalot, Fred and Grant so far this summer! :shifty:

Haha.

Fred is a quality player actually but I'm not sure if he's any better than Herrera, someone who has never been a regular under Mourinho.

I haven't been too impressed with Arsenal signings yet. I mean Lichsteiner has been an excellent full-back, under-rated somewhat, but is very much at the back end of his career, Sokratis is experienced but slow as hell. Torreira looked decent for Uruguay in the World Cup and might offer a bit of bite that Arsenal have lacked for so long, but he hardly stood out, and ability wise is no better than Wilshere who he's replaced.

O-Chamberlain is expected to miss most of next season.

Yeha, that news came out sooner after I put him in my starting 11! It's exactly why you need a good sqaod of players and not just a fantastic first 11 as was the cse with Liverpool that season. Injuries and suspensions will always happen. But if Lallana cane stay fit this season that will be like a new signings almost, and having Sturridge on the bench is a far better option to have than Solanke and Ings. Man City are still very much the team to beat, but I've been impressed with Liverpool's signings this summer (Alisson, Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri) and with one or two more good additions they'll have as good a chance as any other team in the league.
