If this was to happen it would take a large chunk of next seasons budget. It wont be cheap.

 

It isn't going to happen in the real world. Unless one gets an offer and we pay the difference in wages they won't go anywhere. It's easy in a computer game I guess. I think they all live relatively close by, so the pool of clubs they would consider isn't that big.

Lots of decisions to make myself. But I am clear that I won't spend £700 on season tickets to watch the last 18 months again next year. I am off to watch Tranmere with my friend tomorrow in the NL playoffs. I want to see a competitive PV playing a back in the League Tranmere next season.

It was noticeable against Carlisle that Dan Turner almost scored but Angus headed it over the line from a few cms. The Vale players celebrated with Dan in front of the paddock while Angus ran towards the Lorne Street on his own.

Sorry, a bit off topic. In Pope, Turner and Angus we have a proven goal scorer and two young prospects with plenty of potential. Hopefully another L2 club will take Barnett who could be ok at this level as the main first choice striker playing every week. If not, might as well keep him as cover for Pope. It's pointless paying him off.

Midfield is the key area to improve. We need a dominant CM who can run games for us.

First choice GK is also essential.

Left sided winger also needed.

CB to partner ever present Smith needed too.

Hopefully Barnett, Lainton, Tongue and maybe Pugh will find other clubs so we can replace them with younger, hungrier players.

I think there'll always be someone who thinks they can turn him around. Can't see it myself though

Gibbons and Smith were regulars in first teams at 19.

 

Turner isn't good enough and won't make it. Not quick enough. Not strong enough. Not clever enough. Not nasty enough.

 

I want all youth players to do well but it's easy to spot the Simon Eldershaw's from the Billy Paynter's.
