I did find it amusing in a way, the announcements about entering the field of play, the stewards all lined up expecting a huge pitch invasion, and in the end nobody was remotely interested.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

When that announcement was made there wasn't even fans stood by the hoardings /in the walkways.

Gorm will be thinking how good the fans were listening to the announcement and not going on the pitch, it won’t occur to him that no one could be arsed.

Whatever happens next season there will be WUM's and idiots on here spouting similar tripe that has been the norm for years at Vale.

Let the Manager get on with it. If Aspin is handed a fair budget we will get a squad who will NOT struggle. I am level headed enough though to state that I am NOT expecting promotion next season, but sincerely hope there are signs of progress, both on and off the pitch.

Can't believe people are moaning

Well, except that it's what people do on here.

A club in a nosedive out of the league, with a squad full of garbage, has been saved.

Job done.

Another, rebuilding, job starts now.

Am I an Aspin fan?

No, not really.

I judge by outcomes.

His outcome this season has been good.

He has to prove himself all over again, starting now.

Aspin kept us up with games to spare. That is a massive achievement. Remember where we were at the start of October when he took over. Only five points and looking doomed as we'd hardly won any games for 12 months.

I don't really believe anyone can be doomed in October.

For me it's the Bumbling Blue Buffoon that needs to prove himself. He needs to show he intends to take the club forward or sell up.I fear another season with the BBBF will be a long hard disaster if he carries on the way he has done.

I agree in part. Job well done. My fear is that Aspo will have to ‘prove himself ‘ with both arms and legs tied behind his back. If you have ever been in that position it’s painful and makes it’s impossible to prove oneself. Create a level playing field and Aspo will come to the fore.

I am too old to run on the pitch, couldn't climb the wall. However usually stay behind to applaud the players efforts over the season. Didn't this time joined the mass exodus at the final whistle. Watched too much dross by too many poor players in a very poor Vale team.

Now if the Vale players want to come around my house and applaud me for having a season ticket , that's more like it.

Was that Brian Mills' debut?

That match was when I heard the funniest thing ever at a football match. Vale were on a break but running up against Swindon defenders, Brian Mills was in acres of space and a guy in front of me was screaming” give it to Brian, give it Brian, welease Bwian.
