To my knowledge he replied to tweets from fans with the line he wouldn’t play for Vale again. Sure someone will be able to enlighten us all on the exact quote

That’s when Baldrick Brown was Manager.

Who would want to play with him as Manager.

I,m sure he is happy to show he has got over his injury and willing to listen to a reasonable offer.

He is class and would be a good addition if we need to improve the squad.

Who does??? What definitive news have you got for us??

He probably knows as much as the next fan. Some of his rumours are an absolute joke.

Did you see the one about the Aston Villa player? And then he said Billy waters had definitely signed, he said miller would be unveiled..

He’s full of ****. Thomas Barnett he’s name isn’t he?

1 absolute dross

2 no but how many managers get hired and fired by owners each season

3 I would agree

4 there is but no viable alternative

5 people cover old ground every time it suits them. When it’s deemed a good thing it’s rudge and Aspin when it’s bad it’s NS and it’s all him again. Can’t have it both ways. We sign three decent players well done Aspin... we don’t get a couple of targeted signings and NS is a all to blame. In the same breath is NS to blame for the 3 good signings too then?

Please refer back to my previous post #2148 on this thread or else we're just going round in circles.

Dodds would be a great signing imo - he offers much more than what you see on the pitch. He’s a great character to have around the club, especially given how bad things have been in the last 2 seasons!

And that folks is exactly why Vale fans really do deserve league 2 football

Blimey - it seems we are chasing players now who have almost exclusively plied their trade in non league football and often the tier below the National League. I reckon Aspin must have run out of paper, his list must be that long.

Looks like we are competing with the mighty Hartlepool and Wrexham now, never mind FGR and Morecambe.

Something isn't quite right. What's going on? Transfer fees? Wages? Club's ambition?

hate that phrase ,,,aren't you a vale fan? so you are getting what we deserve..anything we say on here wont make a difference what happens with signings - you say best not pay any money out for league 2 then say best not to get what we can afford --perhaps we should bring reggie or taveres kiko mamba back.

this season will be a season of consolidation and once we can clear the decks next season more pieces of the jigsaw will be put in place - but our owner doesn't value paying high wages because he probably doesn't value footballers earning over a certain amount which leads us back to where we are and aspin having a very tough job and hoping a few of the signings stepping up from non league can progress and establish themselves and if they do we wont cover a decent going wage and they will leave-

we should improve but it will have a ceiling somewhere below mid table div 1 max , then we will stall without further investment as our owners knees will wobble with the investment needed--

certainly as we stand this is being a vale fan supporting In hope rather than expectation

If the majority welcome dross like this back with open arms then we as a fan base deserve exactly what we get. NS will do what he can get away with and he knows he can get away with this because happy clappers living in the past are what buys season tickets and shirts. If he thought for one second fans wouldn’t have it there would be no way back for the likes of Dodds.... but they will , a majority will lap him up like a lost Pele. That’s fine but you only have yourselves to blame when by Xmas he’s on the bench and fans are moaning about NS having to make funds available in January. Do your recruitment properly in the summer and you don’t need much in Jan. Louis Dodds retuning is not doing your recruitment properly it’s allowing him to negotiate his own return to the club.
