We just have to go with what the manager decides, but Miller's record at league level is very poor. True, he had a couple of fantastic seasons at non league Dover and maybe that'e where Aspin noticed him.

But his "disciplinary" record shall we say leaves an awful lot to be desired and I don't think out of choice he'd be anyone's first pick.

Perhaps we're going down the list: Dennis-Waters-Miller-ANOther? Who knows?

It's often a very quiet period now with most footballers on holiday. In Wayne's case Barbados or Dubai, but for our lads Prestatyn and Rhyl.

I will say this for these ex Crewe players we are seemingly always interested in ,they have something to offer and its better than we have currently .

I dont usually go Crewe but you could tell in the 2-2 draw there players were better than ours and they would finish above us which they did which confirmed to me that we are completely average at best .

So Chesterfield have turned down 3 offers for Dennis apparently .

We need change the majority of the team id say .

For the good of my lad whos season ticket i will get this week, and for the good of the faithful who have had to watch half hearted after half hearted performance after performance .

Not going be posting much anymore as i laughed at ex father in law and dad when they said im not bothered if i go again, as unfortunately im feeling very much how they felt after year and year of very few uplifting displays .

All this Ricky Miller bashing. I remember when Lee Hughes signed. No one wanted him. If Aspin can get him going, He's a 15 goal a season man.
Have you seen his goal scoring record in the FL. Yeah if it's him, you have to trust Aspin. But to compare him with Lee Hughes is taking the pee. More like Jordon's Slews or Paterson's record rather than Hughes. I'm all for giving players a chance, but his record suggests he's a awful striker at League level and not exactly young.

According to Wikipedia, Marc McNultys stats where not overly impressive, prior to this season.

Scoring most of his goal in Livingston, before scoring for fun this season.

Just to say, that any striker can hit a golden season, no matter how many goals they have scored before.

I think that was probably due to the major conviction, but in terms of goalscoring, he had 207 in 491 at PL/CH/L1/L2 level prior to Vale, whereas Miller has 126 in 262, mostly in tiers 5-8, with a few apps in L1/L2.

Also bear in mind that he will be 30 mid-season, which means he's unlikely to improve much further, as the majority of strikers peak before then. It's a much bigger gamble than Hughes, who was proven at pretty much all levels.
