Jonathan Forte has been released by Notts County, he’d be good with Pope. Give him a year with an option of a second on appearances.

 

Forte is a good player, has played for some good clubs and is better than what we have at present (apart from Pope, that is). So when I looked him up, I was surprised to see how poor his goal to games ratio is - one every five over his career, and marginally better than one every four over the last two seasons at County, where he scored 19 in two seasons over 74 games (9 last season and 10 the previous).

 

I think we can definitely do better and would prefer to see someone quicker playing alongside Pope. Someone like Kristian Dennis, though that might be hoping for too much

Yep secured that one I believe, operates in any attacking position but think will play as a number 10 for us, without ripping up any trees personally I think his versatility cud see him play a key part. Interesting now see what proven scorer we go after given the Dennis deal looks dead and with Smurf seemingly ready hand over some decent cash, anyone guess?
