Aspo is right about the last few remaining games of the season - we should forget about other clubs' results and concentrate on our own performance. After all the disappointments of this season, it would be nice to finish on a high, starting with Mansfield. Despite their recent poor form (one win out of 6, away at Chesterfield), they'll be fighting hard for this one because they still have realistic chance of a playoff place. We owe them one from the disastrous hone game in November and I hope the players will be up for nothing less than a win. It would send a strong message to the rest of the league about next season and be a real end of season morale boost. We can definitely get something from this!

Slightly off topic but i did ask a few days ago about Cambridge game? Mansfield is the start of our wind down but the last match will be a party for Valiants to rejoice in retaining our League status. I visited the Club office Wednesday and was told Cambridge tickets go on sale Friday and Saturday this week. There is no mention on the site or anywhere that this is so.

Anyone out there know when they are being sold, as I suspect the demand may be high. I have already booked the weekend off, just want to sort out the game tickets.

Don't hold your breath,I tried to buy Lincoln tickets on line last week but was told the system had a fault and was advised to try again later. It never happened.

Team for this?

I would like to see:

Hornby

Gibbons

Hoskins

Smith

Pugh

Worrall

Kay

Hannant

Harness

Whitfield

Pope

But given that for some reason Tonge plays every week regardless it will be Tonge and Kay in the middle with Hannant out wide. I personally want to see Hannant in the middle. He lacks the pace for a wide role but is excellent on the ball. We look so much more dynamic with him in there.

Vale should play with freedom and enjoy themselves. Without sounding too confident, and I do wish Chesterfield could stay up, but we’re safe for this season. So go out and play without fear, and give the loyal support something to shout about again with another win.

Heart says 2-1 to the Vale, head says 2-2.

...online presumably' date=' as the Vale official website says the office only opens on Saturdays when Vale are at home.[/quote']

The ticket office at the window inside the shop is open even when vale are away.

Just want to get the job done now so I can relax (even if skybet have us at 2500/1)

Draw would do that, just avoid a lazy thinking we are safe performance a lose 4 or 5-0 to give Barnet a goal difference boost! Even if we lose I expect one of the two challengers will drop points and in turn out the equation though.
