Hornby and Smith inline for a battering, and Popey too no doubt.

Matt Rhead has just committed GBH on the Shrewsbury keeper but has only been yellow carded - and this by the ref who sent off two Vale lads at Yeovil!

He's a local lad isn't he, previously played for Kidsgrove and Eastwood Hanley. Always wondered why we never picked him out of local football.

Don't think that he played for Eastwood Hanley, he did play for Eastwood Notts after he left Grove. Still surprised that he managed to make it to league level, he was decent at Grove but very, very limited.

Can these decisions be reviewed after the game now that he got a yellow. I know that they hadn’t used to but not sure nowadays. It should have been a definite red card.

Lincoln quick to close Shrewsbury down, something which was very noticeable that we failed to do against Crawley yesterday. We gave them far too time and space to pass the ball around yet they were on us like a flash when we were in possession after we had scored.

According to the BBC they should have had both Rhead and Waterfall dismissed in the 1st half. That'd make it more interesting for us next week had them pair been missing.

Hope next week’s ref is watching and taking note.

Is that a surprise with Kay and Tonge in the middle?

Checkatrade red cards don’t count in league games.
