Has anyone noticed these are now available on Companies House for last season?

Thoughts from any accountants?

I wouldn't even know where to start to understand them if I had seen them.So would have to go off what someone says that does understand them.

The inner circle noticed this during the weekend :ninja:

The most interesting thing is that Mr. Smurthwaite's directors loan actually decreased during the financial year, by around £200,000.

So he either took some money out back of the club in order to pay off some of his loan, or he wrote off some of his DLA.

Briefly speaking to Norman on Friday he said the club made £400,000 profit last year of which £200,000 was the payments made to the club as 'Exclusivity payments'

After a discussion about his Directors loans he also said he would wipe them from the accounts/balance sheet and convert them to 'equity' i,m sure the Accountant people on here would know what that means!

The next installment of the Hugil transfer money is due this coming December (£600k)and would be put into this years playing budget now didn't ask if he was putting it in this summer or it would be available for next Jans transfer window

He is looking forward to Aspins plans this summer and re-iterated that the budget would be total walk-ups this season plus the season ticket money for next season

He also told me who the 'backstabber' was but not to say publicly!

Don't shoot the messenger and take everything Iv'e said how you want

Hopefully a public/press statement will be made explaining the clubs finances on similar lines to your advance info. I think I remember the owner of Chelski converting his loans into shares a few years back, something to do with Fair Play rules. No doubt it will be explained more fully on here shortly.

Didn't he deny getting any substantial amount of exclusivity payment at the recent fans' forum?

Carpetman, can you at least rule out any of the players being the backstabber?

At the forum Smurf said that the directors loan was £3.4m as at 30th June 17, the accounts read, "as at 30th June 2017...an amount of £2.8m was owed to Mr Smurthwaite", https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/port-vale-live-norman-smurthwaite-1370482

which is it Smurf??

Even if the figure had risen during pre season by £600k, bearing in mind Rob's article recently stating ffp rules that state directors loans can't be made up through covering the playing staff budget, I'd love to know what the £600k increase entails? Norman, over to you.

Personally I have major trouble keeping up with the amount of different figures (& the apparent time periods they span) coming from the club/Smurf, I very much doubt he knows accurately what he's talking about half the time. The figures we hear about probably do/did exist somewhere, but I honestly think he speaks without thinking a lot, & most of what he says when under any kind of pressure is completely incorrect &/or mixed up.
