Agreed, but Montano deserves special praise. I was amongst many Vale fans criticising him earlier in the season but he has been an utter revelation at left back. He’s having to learn very quickly on the job but he’s doing incredibly well. MoM against Stevenage and Exeter for me and not far off today. Uve proved me wrong young man. Keep it going.

The point is, Monty was terrible but in a Fabian Delph/ Ashley Young/ Antonio Valencia/ Victor Moses kind of way, he’s been fantastic

Monty is doing a job in an unfamiliar position, he still needs qquite a lot of coaching from the sides during games but was up there for motm against Chesterfield. We still need a natural left back in my opinion, though.

Monty for me as he's done fantastic in such a difficult position for Vale. He's made a few eat humble pie, me included!Great effort from the lad.

When Monty was playing wide left he was our second top scorer so he can’t have been that terrible.
