I wonder if we have done the following in order to make the offer a success;

Used Facebook ads to target the right profiles

Plugged the offer in The Sentinel

Plugged the offer on this and other websites

Put up posters in shop windows and doorways in Burslem and Tunstall

Been into schools and colleges to promote the deal

As always, I hope we see a bumper gate but I have a feeling that we will see no significant extra numbers on the attendance tomorrow. If so, this will be down yet again to a lack of a thought-through plan and strategy.

Smurf couldnt organise a pizz up in a brewery.

It all depends on how you define bigger.Bigger based on trophies won, bigger based on fan base or bigger based on league status.

For example are Bournemouth bigger than Portsmouth?

Pompey win 2-1 on that basis.

Of course nowadays there is another "bigger" factor - foreign billionaire which affects the scores for a few teams.

If you buy your Crawley ticket online your ticket for Lincoln will be generated from the ticket office.

If tickets are bought in advance of the day of the Crawley game, the free Lincoln ticket will be available for post or collection with the Crawley ticket.

So that's that then.

That is of course where Bournemouth get their one against Portsmouth in the fact that they have a Russian owner who has bankrolled them into the PL.

17,000 when tickets cost £1. They are slightly bigger than us to be fair, but it's not like it was an ordinary fixture / attendance.

No way are Notts county bigger than us .. or at least they haven't been. Take their line of direction v ours though & they will be

Only port vale would offer a free ticket then deliberately stop you buying it online. Was going to go today but no chance now. Absolute joke.

Not for the first time and certainly not the last, our promotion of offers has been absolutely laughable.

4008. Wish it wasn't so, but it was so predictable that this offer would fail. The promotion of the offer wasn't great but it was destined to fail from the start, for exactly the reasons I said previously. However you dress it up, to take advantage people had to pay full price for an unattractive game v Crawley. Now we'll surely see a loss in terms of income over the 2 games, and no increase of attendance to spur the lads on. It will inevitably be blamed on the fans and used by Norman to justify not putting on offers in the future. It would have worked a lot better if the 2 games were split with offers for each in isolation. £10 for each game with a big promotional push would have seen a much better uptake.

They are so totally and utterly clueless at that club. I assume no one at present holds the role of Marketing and Events promotion? It's the only logical explanation for yet another flop. Truly embarrassing.
