Australian cricket cheats

To my knowledge this has never happened before Steve Smith's words before he broke down in tears. So what was Bancroft doing putting sugar in his pocket in the ashes series he has never got that much of a sweet tooth. They can cry as much as they can i do not believe them at all. They could not wait to have a go at Bairstow in the ashes series or at Trott when he had his difficulties,no crocodile tears will alter the fact that they went on the pitch to cheat. They have let there sport and country down which have made them millionairs and heroes of many young cricketers so they will get no sympathy from me only disgust through their arrogance that they thought they could get away with it.

Just been watching the Aussie Cry-athon on Sky. Unite them with Kim Hughes and we’ll have the full set. Tough guys those Aussie’s you know !

In reality, they may or may not be tough. What we do know is that they are cheating bar stewards.

What ever happened to 'sine die' bans? They would be most appropriate in these cases.

Would that “sine die” ban have included Atherton then ? As I have said in previous posts, every test playing nation does it. I agree it’s wrong, but Smith has “only” done what the England captain did 20 odd years ago. It’s wrong, but nothing new.

The difference is Atherton didn't take a foreign object on to the pitch.

How did the “dirt” get in Atherton’s pocket then ?. Something akin to the Immaculate Conception no doubt ? Either way, he did EXACTLY the same thing. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. And that from a Grammar School boy. Whatever next ? Fair play ?

They cheated to win a cricket match and got banned for a year. Footballers cheat by diving to win a football match and nothing happens. What’s the difference.

BANG ON ! Cricket think they are the high and mighty where fair play is concerned. But in reality they cheat as much as any sport. These cricketing crocodile tears really get on my nadgers. Cricket is as corrupt as any other sport. These Grammar School sport attitudes like cricket and rugby union really annoy me, and that’s from a Grammar School boy. What would headmaster Mr Williams have thought of this ? Nothing, as long as you were in the XV for Saturday morning’s match against St Joseph’s.And there is the problem. Everyone waxes lyrical about fair play, but a blind eye is conveniently turned to misdemeanours whilst success is presented.
