Port Vale have released a statement making it clear that they are unhappy with the rearrangement of the postponed Barnet game. The match was called off due to bad weather but has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday next week. Vale feel that undertaking two away games in three days is unacceptable. A club […]

Southern bias still exists apparently even in the lower reaches of the EFL, didn't expect any consideration as the FA and the Premiership are joined at the hip and the idiot CEO of the EFL trying his best to make it a threesome at the top things will only get worse.

Let's be honest, if Vale were on a good run of form and Pope was fully fit we wouldn't be complaining. In much the same way as if we'd been on a good run there wouldn't have been an early pitch inspection v Exeter.

It isn't the 2 important away games in 3 days thing that I'm bothered about it's more one is way up north the other is way down south so its alot of miles to travel to Grimsby and Barnet. Also it is only 6 days notice for the game meaning unless your unemployed or an oap then I doubt you would be able book a holiday to get to the game.

Pretty much agree with this from a supporters prospective, where as the previous post from Tommy is nonsensical.

No real surprise, they made sure the game was off last week knowing Pope would play. Now we are without our main striker and have to play so soon after a very difficult away game, one where if we lose then we are really in the mire.

Also, being so close after the Grimsby game there will probably be less fans there to cheer us on.

You can't blame them for what they've done, we would have tried the same.

Let's just hope that it comes back and bites them on the bum. Maybe a different forward line and playing style will aid us more than them.

Barnet 1 Vale 3 (Barnet 2, Smith 1).

Sounds like Port Vale actually have access to a decent sports psychologist [or maybe Neil Aspin just has good natural nounce] - if the team aren't up for this one after this diatribe then nothing will get them motivated

Get them down there spitting bullets..............

Are we not looking too deeply into this and being a little bit precious about it?

Barnet got the game off because Pope would of played? Really can't think of a better time to play us, 9 without a win and Popey has been hobbling around.

My only quibble is 2 big journies at opposite end of the country. As usual no thought for supporters. But come on lads and lasses it is blooming Barnet away not Luton , they are bottom for a reason Pope or no Pope.

Of course Barnet wanted it played as soon as possible, 'cause at the moment we are playing s**t - with or without Pope. Barnet have simply followed the rules: If both clubs agree on a date, the EFL leave them to it. If not, the EFL will decide, and they followed their rule which says it should be played at the earliest date available to both clubs. We may not like it but c'est la vie.
