Having a meeting with the board and an opinion as to whether individual people cannot be trusted are two separate things. Do you honestly think that in the commercial world or in politics every meeting that takes place is between people who totally trust each other? The world would get nowhere on that basis.

 

It's because they are not to be trusted though, Tone, that a meeting like you suggest could be counter-productive. If the purpose is to use the two SC guys as a conduit the Board can very easily use their usual "we were misquoted" response if anything reported back was not to their liking. If they come out openly in front of all the fans, that option is not open to them. They said at BGWMC that they would meet the supporters again after the deal was announced. They have reneged on this promise. The SC is not asking them to do anything which they had not previously committed to of their own free will. Why have they gone back on their promise??

But you will surely understand that there are sometimes going to be issues that are not desirable to air in public, but which can be shared in a discussion with appointed representatives of the SC.

If the board want to communicate something to the fans they dont need the SC to do it for them.

They had no problem communicating the BS deal has contractual difficulties

They had no problem communicating the "staggering increases"

Or the relative confidence or the 5 quid game price or the delayed EGM..... I admit they faltered with the facts re adams stepping down news.... but all in all they seem to have no problem communicating when they choose to...... what could possibly make them want to convey information to just two people when they could tell everyone.... or just simply the shareholders if that is appropriate.

The supporters club is primarily there to allow the supporters to talk to the board the board can talk to the supporters any time they choose.

It will be a decision made by NLV in consultation with other groups, but the time certainly feels close at hand. There is plenty going on behind the scenes.

If it cant be aired why air it with two reps who then cant relay it to the people they represent... isnt that divide and conquer?

There should be nothing shared with the supporters club reps that can not be shared with the supporters.... as soon as SC reps withhold information it fails and it fails the supporters.... all this secret squirrel stuff got us into this mess

Just playing Devil's Advocate here.

 

If PD or PM published figures and statements to answer the questions in the article certain people wouldn't accept them, would shoot them down and call the information lies. The above article is rumour on rumour.

 

IMO, the only way forward from this 'mess' is the hard evidence and actions of players being signed, work starting on the RW suite and other projects. Actions speak louder than words.
