By Huns do you mean Prussians? The Germans only have 10/11% of the votes so are easily controlled. We slipped up by not taking a more active part in the EU and could easily have been the driving force.

They don't need to do that, do you know of a club where non-members are better off? We are punishing ourselves by failing to plan, and then trying to leave without a plan. When we were in we wanted to opt-out, and when out we want to opt-in
