Brexit again...

Nigel Farage is a dangerous man with a huge ego. He is a modern day "Che Guevara/Mussolini type character", not in his political leanings but in his ability to polarize/sway a large number of people to his side/way of thinking irrespective of what is good for the country.

you may be right I don't think so but what I can say is he hasn't changed his view/platform on brexit not like our other "leaders",

The Department for Transport is cancelling contracts to provide extra ferry services after Brexit.

Ending the contracts with Brittany Ferries and DFDS could cost the taxpayer tens of millions of pounds.

The government bought £89m worth of capacity from the two firms. Some of that capacity might be sold, but millions of pounds could be lost.

Jeremy Corbyn should "consider his position" following reports he wrote a foreword to a book described as anti-Semitic, the Jewish Labour Movement says.

Grayling is an incompetent liability and should resign or be sacked.

Jezza needs to do the same.

A foreword to a book originally published in 1901 and re-issued in 2011, containing observations on the banking industry would be bound to mention Rothschild and Co in their prime at the beginning of the 20th century. As far as I remember in the 40s it was the norm for Jews to be criticized for their banking methods, also as money lenders being cast out from the temple etc. Not related to Jewish refugees from the war by any stretch. Nearly 120 years after the book was written the situation is completely different, Israel is the cause, a country created by the UK a 100 years ago.

For me, the fake manufactured furore over the foreword Corbyn wrote for Hobson's Imperialism sums up much of the 'antisemitism' claptrap that's leveled at him and his party. The Guardian's Jonathan Freedland went on a diatribe about the latest Times smear job, failing to mention the Guardian itself talked about the same book when Corbyn became leader, did not mention anything about anti-semitism, and actually praised Corbyn's foreword. Lib Dem era Nick Clegg also referenced the book, as it was very influential on the liberal movement. Noted anti-semites Tristam Hunt and Tony Blair have also previously written in praise of the book.

Now someone has gone onto the wikipedia page for the book, which until yesterday had stood for years without a single reference to the books supposed antisemitism, and inserted lots of references to it.

God help us if it comes out that Corbyn studied The Merchant of Venice at school.

Any comments from Jezza lately about things in Venezuela?

Any comment from May about selling arms to the Saudis, our homeless dying on the streets, people taking their own lives due to Universal Credit, the critical shortage of mental health services due to tory austerity, the parlous state of our schools, the news that another £xmillion have been wasted by Chris Grayling or, the tory created Brexit mess? Any comment on these things that are affecting peoples lives now?

See previous post for my view on Grayling.

I see that Williamson has been sacked today and not before time. As I alluded to above he's another incompetent, foot in mouth politician who is supposedly helping us see Brexit through.

It's amazing how many of them in the Cabinet are useless and, even worse, that some voters think we can trust these people with important matters like this.

Mordaunt is another one who hasn't got a clue and lied to everyone before the vote when she insisted that Turkey was joining the EU and we could not veto it if we liked.

Where do we get these people from, who don't know their briefs?
