Brexit again...

Depends what you compare it to I suppose but generally if it's in a tin it's cheap.

How stupid! There speaks a man who has never bought any craft ales.

Anyway, it was the TINGE/ TIG/ Change UK euro launch today and it sounds like it was pretty useless. For a bunch of smarmy professionals, they don't really seem to have succeeded at creating a brand for themselves. The only thing they seem to agree on is that they don't want Brexit and they don't like Labour.

This twitter thread is quite funny...

I asked Chuka why TIG-Change UK is using so many colours in its branding.

His response: "It's not relevant. That is Westminster bubble speak ... Oh my god! We've dared to use three or four different colours! Listen to yourself. That's the same old Westminster way."

They announced a few candidates, including Boris Johnson's (journalist) sister, Gavin Esler (another journalist), a racist ex-tory ex-leaver and the singer from crappy britpop band The Longpigs. I'm definitely a remainer but this shower are an embarrassment. It's like some media people got together and designed a party that was in love with itself (but still too shy to say who's funding them and too scared to call by-elections).

I have bought craft ales along with many other drinks but I can't stand the metallic taste.I much prefer wine myself and I can't imagine what a cabernet sauvignon would taste like from a tin.

No,as far as I'm concerned you can keep the metallic option and I'll stick to the bottled version,(preferably with a cork and not a screwed top).

Not sure about ChangeUK,more like DerangedUK to me with some of those names. This lot have been created however by the incompetence of the Tories and Labour and will be no match for the Brexit Party.

He was born in what is now Turkey. Did it belong to Syria when he was born?

Being as it was then all part of the Roman Empire, and indeed St. George was a Roman soldier, borders were a bit more fluid then. You may well be right but whether Syrian or Turkish, he definitely wasn't English.

I agree with you FUA. Even if decanted from a can to a glass, booze doesn't taste right if it has been canned. Odd really.

Anyway, back to Brexit.

Think ChangeUK have some very good potential candidates, unlike the washed our Right Wingers Farage is fetching off the streets.

Claire Fox and Ann Widdecombe are two more excellent signings this week for Team Nigel.

Bring it on.

Is that the same Fox who opposed the Good Friday agreement?

And Widdecombe the one who opposes LGBT rights?

I agree. They are a perfect fit as both are equally obnoxious.

Not sure about Widdecombe (apart from she was a Thatcher appointee), or indeed is even relevant today politically, but Claire Fox is a nutcase of the first order. Personally I'd have them all sectioned, starting with Nige and working downwards.

I agree about the washed up rubbish that Farage is getting in but you'd think an operation like TINGE (who have presumably been in the works since Corbyn won the Labour Leadership election) would be doing a bit better than this. They can't even agree on a name or logo, have no policies (I imagine their policy pamphlet, whenever it comes out, will just be a nice shiny photo of Tony Blair for all their fans to swoon over) and are now proposing either utter mentalists or media types as candidates. And we've not even mentioned their stated refusal to vote against Theresa May in any vote of confidence.
