Brexit again...

How many people in America are suffering because they cannot afford healthcare? Being part of a superstate may mean that one day all member states vote to give up their free health to subsidise their members interests

You can see it coming. If you want to keep the NHS then get out of the EU forever

I've been to the US and have spoken to Americans and the problem isn't financial but political.

Americans - certainly the white middle classes - have a mindset that has its root in Calvinist Protestantism, which puts the onus on helping the individual on one's self. In this mindset taxation is seen as theft and any notion of paying taxes to help those less able (poor and/or sick) anathema. That's what has made even the modest healthcare reforms of Barack Obama problematic under a Trump government.

If the political will is there universal healthcare is still possible. The NHS isn't perfect but it's a damn sight better than the alternative. Think back to 1930s Britain and you'll get the idea.

The second referendum would only happen if Parliament forced her hand. Otherwise we're locked into a slow speed, second rate trade arrangement with the EU which by the way currently accounts for 44% of British exports. Without EU membership I see that declining significantly, and without other markets (and I don't see this happening any time soon) we'll be considerably worse off.

Only way to save Britain - Remain. Latest opinion polls show a 56-44 majority for it; that's why the right wing want to see BrexitRef2 off the table.

How long has Angela Rayner been right wing?

Remaining restricts trade not enhance it. The EU blocks trade deals as part of their conditions. We can't even Nationalise our transport and infrastructure whilst being in the EU

WTO trade terms has the capacity to not deal tariffs at all as you have rightly pointed out...cheaper goods anyone?

It won't. See post 5672 for the reason why.

EU regulations also restrict us from providing financial support to failing industries such as the steel industry.

That is probably one of the most moronic things I've read on this thread, of which there have been many.

It literally couldn't be further from the truth if the truth was sent into another dimension, and then put into a rocket and fired to the other side of that dimension.

Look up 'TTIP'...It's in our dimension trust me. Be careful that rocket doesn't end up exploding in your face

Being part of a superstate could very well mean our NHS is eradicated. How much free healthcare can the UK afford to give? How long's a piecve of string??

Sorry I have lost track, which superstate is this the EU or the US? There is no free healthcare.

Do you think anyone believes what any politician says.

They voted to give us a referendum in parliament.

Now they are trying to rob us of our democratic decision.

They are all a load of liars.

Well not all but I see one Labour MP has been jailed today for telling porkies?

Nope, the right wing want democracy to rule and they know that really the only way to save Britain is Britain being controlled in Britain. Britain.
