I avoid paying tax. I have an ISA for this tax year, I pay a substantial amount in to a pension. So I’m immoral?

I was talking about paying an accountant to find all the loopholes in the tax system to avoid paying your dues.  Unless you are very well off, ISAs are not much use now because you can earn £1000 in interest (£500 if you're a higher rate tax payer) before you pay tax anyway - so if you are avoiding tax by having an ISA your investments must be pretty substantial.  Beware, there are people on this forum who will have a go at you for being that wealthy!!

I ain’t got a problem with anyone being wealthy or poor, there is good and bad in all wealths. We have a competitive Corporation Tax levy in the U.K. but by no means the lowest and it is getting lower and lower world wide as different nations try to draw in larger companies. We have to be competitive or we will lose big employers. Corbyn knows this and I don’t believe he will raise taxes for larger corporations, he isn’t that stupid.

Why not?  It's a case of shitting the loopholes that allow it.  Of course, those that own the media wont like it and neither will the very wealthy.  He threatens the establishment from top to bottom.  Now I am not sold on Corbyn but if the people of this country want genuine change and a fair deal then the establishment needs smashing.  Only one party is threatening to do that...

Change is on the wind...

Perhaps it's  a fart?

Legally he will not be able to find out those who are hiding money in off shoe accounts. When the money is brought in to the U.K. is when they can catch people. That is no different than what happens now so if you think he will be able to put a stop to this then you are wrong.

If you scrimp and scrape for 40 years you miss enjoying life and doing all the things you could have enjoyed when you were able..... to have maybe 10 years or so being able to afford to do the things you can no longer do.

Sounds like pre planned madness to me.

that's upto the individual surely...

You do talk rubbish bless you.

Riddle me this...

If there is such an overwhelming majority of folk who want to leave how have the minuscule minority of remainers blocked anything?

The only reason we have not left the EU yet is Boris Johnson and the Tories.  They had a working majority and in 2017 they called an election.  The large swathe of brexiteers failed to return them with the larger majority they craved.  They themselves then voted down there own leaders deal, Boris himself voted it down twice.  They then decided to oust May and wasted all of the extension with internal bickering and then illegally porogued parliment, wasting even more time.  Boris then pulls his own bill at the 2nd reading...

Only 1 person to blame and that's thar mate Boris.  Anything else is just spin and lies, blatant lies.

The opposition said all along that as soon as we are certain not to crash out today without a deal then they will agree an election, and that is exactly what has happened.  Again anything else is just lies.

As for your comments on project fear, that just makes you look like a complete buffoon.  Not unlike your hero.

You do know we had the referendum, we were promised we would leave if we voted to leave and we have not left?

You are seriously claiming that this is Boris' fault?

I don't know how you dare even try and insult me when you either lack the capacity to understand what is happening or willingly ignore the truth.

If you can't see that many MPs were elected on a manifesto which promised to honour the result only to backtrack and vote against brexit at every turn, then I cannot help you.

Stick to your hedge fund conspiracy theories. Complete and utter fiction.

It isn’t that easy. I agree, if the loophole could be closed it should be but others have tried and have not been able to. We cannot insist that Switzerland, Panama, Caymand Islands and others change their stance and disclose personal details.

The only way it could be changed is to change international law but I wouldn’t hold much hope.

It’s not only the rich that avoid tax. Is Corbyn going to go for them?. Definitely not.

Are you seriously going to defend the likes of Facebook, Apple, google, amazon, Starbucks etc for paying tiny amounts of tax in the U.K. because joe bloggs down the road did a days work for £100 cash in hand?
