Brexit again...

I can’t see how a general election is better than a second vote? People will be voting on brexit mainly but with many other grey areas that will sway voting. It could end up with the same mess we are in now. At least a second vote would give a clear indication. May tried the general election tactic and made things worse. What if it’s a similar result.

Now that would be interesting.....

Tories on strike..... Labour demanding they return.... green supporting less hot air good for environment..... SNP Scotland didn't vote for this.... lib dems vote for us and we will do something..... independents asking what's happened.

What's the betting within 12 months there is a sit com about the whole mess

People would not watch it …..too far-fetched

We get another free ride on the merry go round..... except it's not strictly free.

Not so long ago the lefties were complaining that Boris is PM from so very few votes. Now they are bricking themselves that there might be a general election!

A second referendum would be a disaster whatever the result may be but before it can be considered there has to be a party opting for that solution and with the Liberals against the idea now and Corbyn knowing it will be a massive negative if he wants Labour to win an election it is looking massively unlikely a 2nd referendum will happen.

there is 3 options:

1. Agree the deal and move on

2. Don’t agree the deal and leave with no deal if the EU don’t keep extending or there is a general election

3. Not agree and have a general election to see more or less what the public want.

option 3 saves the embarrassment of another referendum. Shame it’s going to come to this as I would rather the Government be decided on a number of factors rather than their stance on Brexit which on pretty well all sides is all about gaining public votes not what they really believe on Brexit.

our Jeremy is banking on the public blaming the tories for not delivering brexit, not labour and the others for thwarting it...

All elections are won on lies mixed in with some truth to sell the manifesto to the great unwashed. Votes are purchased with promises never delivered or undeliverable.

Show me a democracy where politicians don't lie.

Show me the lies and an election that was won on such whopping lies, I asked you this question a few pages back and you couldn't answer.

There are lies Geo and there are whopping lies.

We will honour the result of the referendum.?

The NHS is safe with us?

We will abolish tuition fees?

The lies told are to buy votes at elections, its not necessary to win to tell whoppers.

Governments are judged on what they don't do, it is theirs to lose. Promising to jump in a ditch was not very clever.

Johnson to blame for time wasting and refusing sufficient time for his withdrawal bill to be scrutinised. Normal period for a trade agreement is 21 days, for a very complex he offers a few days. Why does he not appear before select committees where his lack of knowledge would be ripped apart?

Rubbish. 3 days is ample time to study a 100 page document of which 98% has not changed over the last 3 years. It’s sure every MP could have gone through the whole document 100 times over in 3 days. It’s just a delay tactic made by those who do not want Brexit to happen.

So if 98% of it is the same as the previous agreement, why did Rees Mogg call the the previous agreement "completely cretinous"??

It could be that key bits unlock doors that were shut in Mays deal, or they changed the essence of the agreement..... but I won't hold my breath
