Brexit again...

Even he doesn't think he could win one now..... he doesn't think he could even get a vote of no confidence passed with a PM who is apparently disliked by quite a number in his own party.

He knows the timing isn't right, he isn't stupid....... but then neither are the Tories..... although both sides make stupid statements at times..... if the Tories bring forward actions to please the masses his chances of winning get slimmer.

I'm sure he does think he can win an election otherwise he wouldn't keep calling for one and Labour & Momentum wouldn't be sending out emails telling us to get ready for the fight. Winning a Vote of No Confidence has nothing to do with whether we can win an election.

Maybe the continuous negative  campaign by the media since he was elected leader makes him think he is likely to win? Only during a pre-election period does he get the chance to put over his policies, which improved his standing last time. Next time a referendum and remain stance could be as important as social policy., although it will be an election like no other with 4 parties in a system designed for 2.

Definitely. Presume any election will be part of a Brexit process (or rejection) so the Brexit Party may not be around for it. I'm also hopeful that Labour can nullify the threat of the Lib Dems by pointing out that Jo Swinson has the history, voting record and beliefs of a tory. All up in the air at present but seeing as we made up a 12 point deficit in the polls during the last election period, I have faith we can get over the line this time.

The only certainty is uncertainty in politics at present, maybe Brexit will stick around to ensure it is to their liking over the years it will take to implement.

And that makes yours and mine and every other everyday person's life better how?

More cuts to public services? Death penalty introduction? Lgbt rights taken away? Women's abortion rights reduced? ..... because the new cabinet have some pretty strong right wing views, I'd rather they have less power.

I AGREE WITH YOU.

I think the UK Government should have less power. But that is not the same as giving that power away to someone else.

And I'm being laughed at on this forum for quoting project fear but when there's posts linking brexit with a reintroduction of the death penalty, abortion rights and LGBT rights being taken away....What else can I do?

Here's a crazy idea - don't vote for the conservative party if you seriously think that they'll implement those changes. We as the people of the UK would have 100% choice over our governors after brexit. They are accountable to us and no one else.

Surely you would want that?!?!?

I've told you one, you quoted and replied to it.

How about cheaper food and clothes, not that you deserve another benefit but I'm in a good mood.
