Wrong as usual. I never said that about Slater and I said Perry could have been good with decent training. As for Taylor, he can't even get in the Darlington team so how can he be decent? He's at the same level as Perry so you've shot yourself in the foot!

No, Twitters, you just don't like anyone reminding you of the daft things you have said in the past! This is real football not Championship Manager where you can look at a load of stats to judge a players ability. You had "Slater" on your shirt so you must've thought he was decent whereas anyone who say him in the reserves could tell he was useless. The lad we had from Bishop Aukland on trial at the time was better anyone could see that. Perry has found his level perhaps but was never good enough for us.

 

Kris Taylor, on the otherhand, has played over 200 games of league football and has proved himself to definitely be more valuable to our squad then either Roe or Green have. Green does have potential whereas I feel Roe is a little lightweight and not agressive enough for league football.

 

Lots of players have strengths at this level and have to be found a position that suits, be worked on after training or encouraged in order to make it. That is why they find themselves at this level or below. Tomlinson spent a season in non-league but he is definintely good enough for the 4th Division. Personally, I would have kept Kris Taylor, a player Adams knew well, and not wasted money on the other 2 or signed a better left back. It smacked of cost cutting and we are suffering because of these kind of decisions.

Whenever I check how Darlo do which is most weeks because of geohagan he is on. People dont want him back at all, what we are saying is that why let him go and replace him with players far worse than him in green and roe. If he was let go and then replaced by a decent, experienced left back fine, but he wasnt. Id take taylor any day over Green and Roe!

Truthfully, Kris Taylor isn't the best left back in the world but is certainly better than any we have now. Also you don't throw your working but dated looking fridge freezer out until your new one has been delivered. We got rid of Kris without getting anything better in to replace him, that's the point I'm making.

I gave my opinion without abusing anyone and got told I knew nothing about football so defended myself. Not my fault others made it personal.

Never get rid of a player until you've got a better replacement signed/lined up. Basic rule of management. Taylor wasn't a world beater and was inconsistent but was decent on his day. Would walk into the team as it stands.

See, even a **** fan can see it was a mistake to let him go and replace with worse....and stoke don't even play with fullbacks, they use 4 centre halves! :D

Collins is one of our better players and Taylor was an average left back who rarely let you down. Poor to off load without a replacement. End of.
