By all accounts most of our players were below average today so average would have been better. We may be able to find better but we haven't, Denton has left and Anderson is injured. We can't stop the season while we sort ourselves out.

With this owner, we have no choice but to accept and move on. But we note what has happened - yet again.

 

The simple fact is that with any owner we have to accept... we may voice our opinions but we dont make the decisions... we accept them easily if we agree with them, not so much if we dont... but we still have to accept them

Whatever the ifs & buts of it all it is my thinking that GG knew he was not part of Neil's long term plan ergo he moved on.

Neil Aspin has said 2 or 3 times in strong terms that he would have liked to keep Gunning, and added that his departure gives him a problem.

 

John Rudge has added that he is disappointed to lose the player, and also says he will be missed.

 

This is not about my own opinion, but is what they have said a few times in the last couple of days on radio, and other media.

 

I don't think that could be much clearer, there was nothing unsure about it, and I wonder what made you think there was ?

 

Yes, it was clear we wanted to keep him for 6 months. What is unsure is that we wanted to keep him long term.

What we do know is that the owner of FGR is ambitious and progressive enough on gates of 2000 or less to sign not only Gunning, but Reuben Reid and several others to see the team he supports improved - oh, but then he doesn't support Coventry and doesn't have directors loans.

 

Do you know what directors loans are?

 

A quick search on companies house shows that FGR's parent company owes £1.4m to its directors.

What a fuss made about an average player. Did he do well today. Yes he did. Did he do well for us. Yes he did, steady Eddie type.

Can we do better , yes easily. Had Denton not gone and Anderson injury I'm sure not as much would of been made of this .

Well I don’t personally I think they’ve signed decent players gunning included, they have or seem to have a lot of desire and passion and speed also that will see them survive

They aren't director loans are they? FGR is a subsidiary of Ecotricity and the losses made by the football club look to be a tax dodge by the parent company?? The football club's wage bill appears to be twice its turnover - how is that allowed by the EFL??

That question should be directed to the EFL it does look suspicious though.

We are much better off with Norman Smurthwaite than Dale Vince.
