What running costs? The administrators ran the club at a profit after 4 weeks!

Norman has been in charge for 4 years and still can't mitigate these costs? How do Accrington and Newport do it?

Begbies Trainor seem to be the answer then. They should not have sold the club.It would have saved a lot of people a great deal of heart ache. The wage bill during admin was?

Here comes another "Little Old Port Vale" fan with their loser mentality.

So we had zero chance of signing a player bottom of the league below us if we'd acted early in the window?

No just realistic. You said a host of prem and championship sides were looking at him, and a prem side bought him. Compared to them, a team at the bottom of league 2 are little. What on earth are you talking about. If this signing is something to be unhappy about you’re going to be unhappy about pretty much everything.

You are missing the point completely again.

Solihull are fairly local to us, as are Hednesford Town and Staff Rangers. 3 young players have moved from these clubs to the Premier League (Oladapo Afolayan, Josh Gordon and Cohen Bramhall). I doubt we were ever aware of them? Criminal considering the locality.

Clubs higher up the pyramid scout players all the time, but doesn't always mean that's where they end up. Sean Raggatt was heavily linked with West Brom and West Ham before Norwich moved in and signed him.

If we had a competently run club with a competent scouting network, we would have spotted these players and swooped before anyone else. Now obviously, given the choice between the Prem and us, they would choose the Prem but if we got in early, it would give them the choice between non-league or the football league, when we would prevail.

Look at the GK shambles since Alnwick left. Is it 9 keepers we've used? It's blatantly obvious we've not had any sort of scouting strategy for years!

Your just making up pretend scenarios. Aspin is well aware of the non league players. But our scouting system cant compete with premiere league systems even if the player would choose us over a premier league side. Yes we can find the odd gem, and might well do, but its a silly thing to use every player we dont sign to knock the club over. According to you we should have signed four players who went to prem sides. Are any other lower league 2 sides making such amazing signings?

Shame to see Aspin say we were in for Ricky Miller but were financially outmuscled by massive Mansfield Town (a club that is well run with decent owners that are fans). We were also in for Louis Dodds but Shrewsbury didn’t want to loan him and let’s face it, he didn’t want to come here because he knows what Norman’s contract policy is like. Ffs.
