Brilliant news. Went to Plough Lane in Vale's 1983 promotion season (tight game, which we lost 1-0) and it was a pity they ever had to leave. Going back will make MK Dons look even more like the frauds they are.

I was their too there were no turnstiles I seen to remember.

Was a long trip we had a big following.

Great news for Wimbledon every true fan wishes them well

I think English football going all-seater was the beginning of the end for home-and-away supporters of Vale due to the cost of tickets.

We used to take very respectable numbers to all corners of the country but now we don't travel south of Birmingham.

Anyway, it's great that the Dons are going home.

Congratulations to them. Shows what can be achieved with a fan based ownership model ran for the good of the club and not individuals

I’d second those views, a genuine attempt at the model unlike ours that’s proven hugely successful and massive credit should go to everyone involved.

Let’s hope the facilities are slightly better than the old ground however!

So because people can’t stand up they don’t travel more than 50 miles?

Nowt to do with our lower league status for all of the 2000’s to date?

The cost of watching football week in, week out is beyond many young people and that's one of the reasons why football crowds are increasingly middle aged and relatively wealthy or at least financially comfortable.

It's a subject that has been covered by the media very recently.

Maybe 'young people' use their disposable income across a broader range of entertainment different to 'middle aged' choices back in the day.

Just saying like...
