Really and not receive the prize money which could be the difference between 3 superb new players (even though we need about 7) to strengthen and give us a better chance of the survival u r on about

£27,000 prize money for getting through round 2 won't go that far.

Anyway Peter Beadle started growing his beard and said he would shave when Hereford are knocked out of the Cup. Hey that's fair enough. Graham Barnett did the same for us in 1959 and we got as far as the 5th round into 1960. I hope Peter Beadle grows a very very long beard. I hope even more that Port Vale get to at least R4 an away tie at Stoke would be nice in that round

Is that the same Sid whose parents had a vision of the future when choosing his name as an acronym of Sudden Involuntary Diahorrea ?

Sorry off-topic, or maybe not with some recent displays by a few players....

How to remember the spelling: Dash In A Rush Run Hard Or Else Accident.

Thats 14 months salary for me but the round 3 prize money as queenbantam says aint to be sniffed at .

Thats 3 players on a short contract if u give them 2 grand a week or whatever todays lower league players get paid till the end of the season .

Lets c what the Vale players do if they dont deliver they have to live with the consequences .

I do as the standard of play i c at Vale park will be the same as now if we go out ,its highpressure i expect cus progresstoround 3 minimum

Not the glamour tie either club wanted, but it’s a great opportunity for either side to progress - not to mention the £67,500 for the winners.

I think I’d prefer to meet you lot than travel to Yeovil.

Be careful what you wish for!

Yeovil away is bad enough for us but that's our own fault, it's a right pain from Bradford.

Personally I'd be over the moon to play you in R3 whatever the outcome because at least we'd get the R2 prize money for the desperately needed January window. Also, can we have Alex Jones back please?

Aye, it’s a right old trek down there. Sure we have a shoddy record down there aswell - whereas McCall has a decent record at Vale Park.

Alex Jones has been a tad unlucky this season. He has primarily been used in the cup competitions, and has faired alright, scoring 5 goals in what seems to be hardly any games at all. He finished off the season well last season, forming a decent parnership with Charlie Wyke, but he’s had a few knocks already and has just undergone surgery - so he may miss the Cup game if you make it through. Decent player though, and I feel he’ll be essential to us at the business end of the season next year.
