Can someone remind me what Mike Newton was prepared to invest and in return become chairman. Im sure Bill said he was tring to get the club on the cheap.

Newton wanted full control for £200,000. Miller could still be outvoted by other board directors or shareholders. Newton wanted things put into place that he couldn't be outvoted.

He's probably tied up with writing football programmes from the 70s and 80s...when they used to put surnames in capitals -

e.g. Micky ADAMS

Has it? I'm still waiting for Meigh to buy loads of shares to buy himself a seat on the board. Or Rob Lee to buy himself the position of Chairman.

Yep, we predicted this at the beginning of September when no one knew who Miller was and it has proved to be correct.

There's nout we can do but I am sure you'll be making excuses and blaming everyone else when all these promises don't materialise.

Rob Lee offered to invest a considerable sum of money last January in return for the Chair and the resignation of the other directors. That is a fact because he told us himself. I don't recall anyone suggesting that Stan Meigh had to buy loads of shares to get himself a seat on the Board - he already has more than enough but he could not stand for election at the moment because he is already sponsoring another director.

Surely you can't be too surprised if, after forcing the door open, it's actually a wolf that enters.
