It's been a sobering few days at the football club. It might just dampen down the expectations of one or two people who thought we were going to make a late run for the play-offs.

 

The football club is paying compound interest on failures by previous managers and current owners. Neil Aspin is playing the hand he's been dealt as well as anybody else could.

With respect that is not the case. Someone put up a headline that said Aspin out on the basis of what he thought someone said, who thought someone heard someone else say.

The poster is well intentioned bit has shown appalling judgement. He read a report that someone reported that someone said something. This is now reflected in a worrying destabilising inaccurate pointless headline on this website that will reflect the view of one person who may or may not have been winding up his mates or talking after too much alcohol. As genuine fans we have a duty to avoid destabilising our club with this utter nonsense.

Yes - whilst agreeing that the person who said this is totally wrong in my view and lacks any judgement, they are as entitled to their opinion as other posters who constantly berate current players, have favourites and scapegoats and post for months against the same player(s) and even those who have departed the club.

It is a silly call to attack Aspin in my view, but asking for the thread to be closed when so much other critical negativity gets posted is also not a good idea.

I'm sure Aspin won't lose any sleep over it in any case, any more than he would the other couple of posters who think they know more about football than experienced managers.
