With all due respect, I would like to know how anyone outside the club without hard actual figures who has been asked the actual budget by Jacko several times, and who cannot confirm exactly what it is and what assets came from it, can place a unknown figure in an unknown league table.

 

Can we have a link to reliable figures for all the L2 budgets perhaps, rather than feckless statements guessing how Vale's budget compares with other estimated but not actual figures.

 

As I also said previously, budgets have other things like signing on fees and paying off catalogue overseas 'stars' taken from them, so it isn't so simple unless you want to make it appear so for some reason.

 

If figures are being provided for Vale, it would be interesting to know the budgets for the last 4 or 5 years and whether it is true they have dropped by very nearly half, from £2.5m to £1.3m less fees and other payments, since Norman arrived.

 

While this thread continues to be off topic, can I just add that Brown, as a very well off person now with no Vale connection does not matter at all, but discussions on Norman and his actions are much more relevant and deflection of them well noted, as he still shapes the future of the club.

15 years managing a club makes a difference, a proven manager. Cant see Brown spending a long apprenticeship in non-league. Where will Vale be after 3 years of Aspin?

Looking at the highlights of this weekend's games a couple of things struck me, firstly what a favour the ref at Swindon did for just about everyone except Chesterfield, that was an extremely harsh penalty to give against them with literally 5 seconds left robbing them of two points, secondly, how bad are Crewe? They were all over the place in conceding 4 to Lincoln and I'm sure the score flattered the Imps even though we only saw the goals. I can honestly see Crewe struggling to stay in the league at this rate.

 

I think they've lost every away game since they played us?
