Home games

I notice a large number of the next few games at home, if we include Cup games something like 5 or 6 of the next 8.

How about the club building on the buzz and offering a special ticket for non ST holders to cover the next 3 league home games, the FA Cup and the Checkatrade with Crewe.

Bearing in mind that the FA Cup is cheaper and so will the Crewe game be, something like a £49 to £55 offer for all those games might tempt people back, and ensure decent crowds for the Cup ties. Concessions reduced in line with these prices.

Not sure if it is possible to 'mix and match' in different competitions like this, but if it is, perhaps the club might consider it to get Vale Park gates up and get more fans into the habit of going regularly.

If fans want reduced ticket prices they should have purchased a season ticket.

It is a constructive suggestion, so why not go and cause trouble elsewhere please ?

Not everyone can go to every game or afford a full season ticket as has been stated many times.

Just a totally ignorant post. Firstly it does not take into account the financial circumstances of people in the area when it comes to purchasing a season ticket. Secondly from a marketing point of view with Aspin and rudge coming back, coupled with a good run of form its arguably a good time to offer a package of games at a reduced price, maybe not as cheap as the equivalent games it would cost on a season ticket but at least cheaper than if they bought them on a game by game basis.

Attendance will be higher after the three wins on the bounce anyway. No need to reduce prices and lose money.

It dosent work like that you clown. Build the buzz a simply off just reducing a few quid and get the fans back in and the ground bouncing. It will only benefit the club. I think a deal for the 3 would be a great idea or even the next 3 home league matches. Something to keep the buzz going and build on it.

Good grief. If our new revival on the pitch can't bring fans back then nothing will.

It seems to me that some fans who would normally go anyway just want it a few quid cheaper.

Most of the fans who would normally go anyway are season ticket holders so wouldn’t be getting it any cheaper at all.

You are just so out of touch, people are talking about ideas to try and get fans in who've stopped going and you're just having a dig thinking we want it cheaper.

Maybe I am out of touch because I thought fans had stopped going because of the poor performances. What excuse do fans need now?

I'm totally aware that its not cheap to go and watch the Vale, but they were willing to pay to attend previously.

Old fashioned, blinkered thinking - and in all probability just being argumentative for the sake of it.

It is not to do with saving money or being a cheapskate, but to do with getting occasional or possible fans back into the habit of regularly attending at Vale Park and making them feel like Port Vale fans.

By getting them to commit to attending 3,4 or 5 games, and ensuring decent cup attendances people who might go only once normally would feel part of the club and its' new buzz again, or for the first time.

The cost to the club would be small, as they would get money up front, and be sure of tickets sold where if for instance, we lost to Swindon, they might not be.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Time to be brave and push the new Vale as something to be proud of and not be a silly made-up poster who just comes on here to laugh at and try and belittle real fans.
