Matchday Thread: Port Vale v Swindon Town

That's what I'm finding difficult to understand, you'd think this forum was just for people who don't go to the games! But seriously, I'm not sure how any one who has been to the past 3/4 games could still be asking for changes to the side.
My insight is that some fans have forgotten how to enjoy watching the Vale, not unreasonable considering our recent past, hopefully we are in a new era. Of course the squad needs assessment before January but could be done in a dedicated thread, hopefully the Dream Team will have their plans ready in December if not before. Maybe Aspin will make things a little clearer at the supporters meeting.

Spent a few days in Swindon going to and from the game at the weekend. Swindon fans seem to think they have a problem with pacey sides as they have a huge lack of it at the back. Could be good for us with Monty, Worrall and Harness. Perhaps even bringing back Denton.

What happens when you play Purkiss I guess.

Cash turnstiles to be introdcued for this weekends game:

https://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/2017/october/cash-turnstiles-vs-swindon-town/

We are introducing cash turnstiles this weekend for the fixture at Vale Park against the visiting Swindon Town.

For the upcoming game this weekend at home to Swindon Town, we are introducing a cash turnstile in each stand of the ground.

This cash turnstile will sell tickets at the normal price of £22. Further, this turnstile will admit supporters already with their tickets including season tickets.

Please note, to pay on the day you will need the correct cash.

So if you need the right cash why the hell wouldn’t you make it £20?!! For the fluidity of the que stupid really or is it that the people who’ve bought season tickets cry over it?

Cant leave any excuse unturned, or as a short term measure in expectation of the ticket office being overwhelmed by demand? Perhaps need to consider another ticket office to serve Bycars and Lorne St, or contactless/swipe cards to speed up entry, to keep pace with the Aspin Revolution?

Cash turnstiles have been tried and failed yet people still moan and whinge about them. Christ even benefits are paid into cards nowadays. Cash is no longer king.

Your ideas for a ticket office near the Lorne Street and a contactless payment method at the turnstile are very worthwhile ones which should be trialed if possible.
