Despite the owner? He appointed him for goodness sake. Without the owner Aspin and Rudge would not be here.

 

Christ show some balance man, criticise his failings (the last three managerial appointments) but give praise where it’s due with the appointment of Aspin. You can be sure you and the rest of the people that hate him would have wanted his head of a stick if Aspin had been a huge failure.

 

And once again as it seems you are ignorant I have met the owner twice, he’s no ‘mate’ so try to stop being personal.

Ok not being personal in the slightest but in my humble opinion he is well short of getting any praise from me after what he has done to us. He is an absolute incompetent t0sser who appears to have got something right but by default and not by design. We differ in our opinions massively on this point.

Every player 100%..thought Pugh and Gunning were superb but all played well against one of the better teams I've seen this year...deserved win and I love the fact the wind died down 2nd half..SVA

Imagine missing out on promotion by a point or two thanks to some of those disasters against Crewe, Wycombe, FGR, Chesterfield etc!

How good is James Gibbons?

 

Lad's about 4"7 and wins every header. Infinite energy and one of the quickest players we've got. Strong in the tackle and a good cross. Played as a wing back in a back 5 and a full back in a back 4. Cracking player.

One thing we did comment on today was Aspin’s flexibility with systems and personnel to get a result in a specific game. Had us reminiscing about Rudge and how sublimely he did it in the 90’s.

We looked top of table team today...gutted about the points we've lost this year but onwards and upwards..ECFC made playoffs last year so maybe...just maybe..
