Such a shame that we were not able to get the best out of him due to the manager at the time. Always felt that he was a decent player, pleased for him. Don't think that I'll travel to watch him like I did Birchall in Germany.

 

Micky Adams knew Morsy could never be any good at Vale, only for Egypt, but Morsy was always in de Nile.

Yep, left 5 years ago along with a lot of other players we haven't subsequently replaced. Hence why we are now 91st in the Football League.

He played in the Championship last season, is starting for a team currently 2nd in League 1, got called up to an international squad that qualified for a World Cup, won the League 2 title as POTY for Chesterfield, won the League 1 title with Wigan, and had bids of at least £400,000 turned down for him.

 

Never suggested he's a world beater, but he's probably had the best career (at 26) of any ex Vale player for a while, and is clearly a talented lad we should have made a lot of money off.
