Not used to this with Vale. They already seem to know their roles and what is expected from them after only 2 days.

 

Just waiting to wake up and find it has been a dream and we still have Brown as manager.

 

Looking forward to the 2nd half for once.

Much better from vale, like the high tempo/pressing game.

 

They have a couple of very decent midfield players, No 27 looks very good.

Interesting half. Whilst not exactly carving them open, we have worked a few opportunities. Gibbons and Denton best players by far; midfield seriously lacking; feel sorry for Pope who has very little support either from the ref or teammates as Whitfield has struggled to get into the game and Harness shows the odd flash but is very lightweight; not convinced on the goalie at all, and I think Kay is poor. Their black midfielder No. 27?) looks a very classy playmaker and is their main threat. He was starting to get on the ball as the half wore on and I would worry that we have no one to get on him 2nd half. We’ll see....

At least I have the feeling that Aspin has the tactics that Brown lacked due to inexperience as a manager to make the right subs.
