Sodje and Constantine

I was thinking today when I last saw a player who truly got me up of my seat at the vale and these two sprung to mind I can see sodje running for lost causes into corners and getting there more often than not! Constantine although lazy at times he did the one thing you wanted see score a bloody goal or two!

Anyone else think of the last player or players to truly excite the crowd?

Pretty funny as Vale fans never appreciated constatine when he was here. Pretty sad really followinv our demise after they both left.

People moaned at Constantine constantly. I remember an away game at Oldham in 2005/6 when he scored the only goal of the game with one touch after our following had been calling him a "clown", "lazy bones" and told to "wake up".

Best first touch I have ever seen. I am certain he would have been established at Leeds had he not broken his leg.

The best first touch Ive ever seen was bergkamp v Newcastle over and to the side of the defender before slotting past the keeper , if Constantines was better than that then fair play

Taken from Wikipedia 'Despite finishing the season with 26 goals in all competitions for Port Vale (38 in 18 months for the club) he was never a fan favourite at Vale Park, and instead picked up a vocal minority of detractors who condemned his relaxed attitude on the pitch as proof of him being "lazy".'
