Those saying not him,i would be interested on who they would like? because imo you can now forget people like Adkins,cotterill,coleman,davies etc.....we could be looking at the likes of Stubbs,Edinburgh,Westley,Askey and i am sorry but i would take Ainsworth over them no problem

 

I think the poster talking about the rock star lifestyle probably hit the nail on the head. Music and his band are big parts of his life and he got his big move when the bog bucks had started. It would need a very big offer to tempt him and a big payoff if it doesn't work out.

He lives in Wycombe, has a viable job at a club where he is revered and I don't expect he wants to move back to the Potteries. I know he says he loves Port Vale, but he actually only spent one year at Vale Park, so he is likely to have some other metaphorical loves of greater duration.

Passion etc for PVFC is all well and good but what we need is competence, experience, professionalism, knowledge, organisational skills etc etc..passion doesn't usually last so you're left with the other qualities.

 

GA has done a good job in the context of Wycombe but long term we want more than that

From what I saw of his teams time wasting tactics at the recent Vale game I would not want him. The goalkeeper was blatantly timewasting from the second minute onwards.
