No. You are crazy. He's the best manager in the league after his miracle work of keeping Accrington up.

 

They're 3rd. They finished 5 points off the playoffs last year. They finished 4th the season before, missing out on automatic promotion on GD, finishing just behind Bristol Rovers and just in front of Argyle, who both averaged over 8,000 home fans, compared to Stanley's 1,800. They have the smallest budget and lowest average attendance in the league. Its not like they're clinging to their FL status by finishing 22nd every year. I'd give anything for those sort of results at the present time.

 

The fact they've existed in the FL for so long is a very impressive itself; the fact that they're regularly competing in and around the playoff on the budget they've got is miraculous.

 

Unlike your boy Askey, who you are linking to the job based on his Dad, and his grand total of 0 things won, but has kept perennial FL club Macclesfield in the Conference. 100% sooner give him a go than a man who's overacheived for a decade.

What rubbish - just about everyone else would love to go back to being in the top half of Division One. Page was too defensive away, but is a decent manager and far beeter than we are likely to get as a replacement to Brown. I saw plenty of the (mostly successful) games under Page too.

 

Good old Bea going down with the ship.

Why don't you join Michael Brown at the dole office.

The more matches given to Brown would be more losses.

He couldn't beat a poor Forest Green side at home.

As usual he sat back and invited them to attack us after we scored.

At least we managed to hold on for a draw.

Whats this obsession with Coleman he's just recently signed a 5 year contract with Accy are you seriously thinking we would compensate Accy and drag him away!!!

 

He is a good fit with Accy there's no pressure for him to do well only to keep them in the league there would be massive pressure to perform at Vale which if we didn't then the boo boys would be out in force again!!

 

Who would be your choice?

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys like Michael Brown.

We don't want untried non league managers we have tried that before with Sinnott and Gannon.No ex managers like Page and Adams.

Pay the going rate for a proven Manager who can organise what Brown has left him to try to survive.

 

I also cannot understand this obsession with ex-Vale players. New start, new ideas and considerable experience needed to turn this one round.

Micky's favourite with Skybet, 2/1, ahead of nearest favourite Edinburgh at 8/1.

 

Honestly what has been the point of the last 8 years? He arrived to a club with woeful ownership who were struggling in League 2, after his personal managerial standing had taken a bit of a battering.

 

What a waste of time its all been :laugh:
