Bigger budget - are you on drugs?

 

If memory serves me right he was interviewed by Bill Turnbull on BBC breakfast a year or two ago and said along the lines of his budget being 1.5million, that they didn't have the money to run any other teams bar the first team and he had to generate money from cup runs and player sales to keep the club afloat.

I know it's ridiculous, we've got a fairly big budget it's just been spent horrendously

E.g 4 goalkeepers 1 injury prone 3 not good enough

5 wingers 1 good player 4 who can't cross a ball etc

As I've said before, some fans have got exactly the club they deserve.

 

I think there are better options, but I'm not sure there are better that Norman could find in a short space of time. I'd prefer Adams on an eight month survival contract with a big bonus for keeping us up, then another smurf cheap punt. It would give time to find a successor and actually plan what we are going to do to take the club forward. If we stay up, we are then we will have more chance of appointing a decent manager long term. I'd prefer we got that person in now so he could turn us around and have a good Idea of what the squad can do so we don't waste next season with the current dead wood, but I don't have any faith in the chairman to appoint anyone resembling management material. I said not long ago that rudgie should be paid to come in, shortlist candidates and interview them. The chairman just needs to come in and sign on the dotted line, confident that whoever he chooses will be a much better option than whatever ideas he had.

You can forget the current bookies odds. I have just had it confirmed by my boss at work who happens to be a Crewe fan, and my wife has also mentioned to me that the next Vale manager to be announced within the next 2 weeks will not be me...

Has anyone yet confirmed our budget and other teams in £s think we have a low to middle budget (750k to £1m) so accys might be on a par- we have so many loan players whom their parent clubs be letting us have on a non contributory basis along with young first pros which wont cost much .
