It may not be the worst we have played - but the opposition only have to score a goal and its Good Night Vienna. We could play incisive, high tempo mind blowing football like Brazil, but if we dont score and they do then end up with Nill Points. I would much prefere that the front two run around like headless chickens for an hour and half and have a ball richocete of their arses and get a point than for the perpetual comments of " were not playing badly"..

The bottom line is we are NOT scoring and that means we can only hope that the opposition dont and that hope is unfounded due to our inability to defend. You say their goal was a fluke - Ok I concede that, but were they not constantly attacking to make that fluke happen? When will our attackers do something to make a fluke go our way?

 

Fully agreed. The problem we have had for some time now is that we are not an attacking threat, so the balance of the game always moves in favour of the opposition, who quickly negate what we are doing and move forward to put pressure on our defence. Eventually, the defence concedes - it would be really unusual if they didn't to be honest, the amount of time they have to defend. It's a percentages exercise - sooner or later we let one in, and from that point onwards, we are chasing the game, and get exposed again and again on the counter attack.

 

I never like calling for someone to lose their job, but surely Michael Brown has to go if we lose this without scoring again? We have gone from League 1 to the bottom of League to with barely a whimper in 6 months, and that just isn't the Vale way. Show some fight please Vale - or right now, just show anything to help us believe that you are worth it.
