The Stone Roses To Reform?

Memphis

Recommended Posts

I can't help thinking the same Stephen.

After the infamous Reading gig, and the subsequent failure on all their parts to set the music world alight in the past 16 years, I'm in the camp that says they should leave the past in the past.

That said, I would be curious to see any shows that they do. Bit like when you can't help but stare at a car crash.

Squire wasn't the trouble- they couldn't find Reni!!! True story apparently

Squire was writing songs about how poor the singer was. There were many problems; drugs, injuries, timekeeping, record companies, women......so, the usual then.

I agree with Rob (cos he's my boss:wub:); they will have to put on the show of the century so far to justify all the HYPE that you will be bombarded with for the next 6 months.

I'm going to get tickets, simply for that reason, the car crash effect. Brown can't sing to save his life, but I doubt it will be as bad as Reading '96. I'm going to buy as many as I can on Friday, so I'll let you know if I get some.

Just as long as people aren't expecting Brown to be pitch perfect.

In the words of the great Omar Khayyam, "you can't polish a ****".

I think there should be an age restriction on the buying of tickets. No one under the age of 30 should be allowed to buy them initially, so that the generation who actually remember them have a chance of getting tickets, rather than some 20 year old who has simply jumped on the band wagon.

Cheeky, haha that has made me laugh, I'm 23 and I work as a Dj and I appreciate the stone roses so much and get such a buzz when I play there songs and people dance to them, I didn't become a fan of stone roses to be cool I became a fan and buy their records because musically and lyrically they are brilliant, so I don't get

what a stupid thing to say cheeky. If you had been in that generation and scene i doubt you would remember them anyway.

Who do you think the Roses want to be at their gigs? Would they prefer young energetic people that are ecstatic at the chance to see them or balding greying over the hill 30 somethings that feel they deserve first digs on any tickets? hmmmm i wonder.
